Convention International for Threatened and Endangered Species

The species included on the list of CITES should not be collected or commercialized. It is very important to realize that NONE of these species are there because of shell collectors. Mostly of them are freshwater or landsnails, now threatened because of pollution, deforestation, or over collected for shell craft and decoration. All shell collectors must follow this regulation and not to collect the shells.
