Claudio Tempesta Jr. Collection
Claudio (or Claudinho = little Claudio) started participating
of our meetings since he was 12 years old, back in 1992. Since then
he acquired lots of shells exchanging with several people from all
over the world.
He is very picky - to be in his cabinet every shell must be in top
quality! His preferred family is Cypraeidae, 120 species plus several
variations and forms, he also likes Ranellidae and Conidae in a
total of approx.1,500 different species in the entire collection.
He used to collect everything, now he only collects Marine Gastropods
- no bivalves, land or fresh water shells. As you can see in the
photos, he is very neat when it comes to arrange shells into a drawer!
